My work is textile-based and explores the drawing of faces through stitching instead of using a pencil. This moves the focus of the drawing onto the forms and plains of the face instead of the details and creates a form that is recognizable but removed from life. Through my work I aim to create a juxtaposition between the rigid form of the writing and the loose movement used to create the faces.
